The Role: A Strategic Leadership Opportunity
This is not simply a job — it is a chance to shape Maver UK's commercial roadmap, elevate our retailer partnerships, and guide a high-performing national sales team. You will be a central voice in the future of Maver UK, working closely with European leadership and contributing directly to strategic growth initiatives across the group.
What You Will Lead
* National Sales Leadership: Develop, inspire, and empower a distributed team across the UK.
* Strategic Commercial Planning: Own budgeting, forecasting, P&L oversight, and margin optimisation.
* Market & Category Growth: Identify opportunities across match, coarse, carp, and specialist angling sectors.
* Retailer Excellence: Strengthen partnerships with key accounts, distributors, and major chains.
* Cross-Functional Influence: Work with product development, marketing, and operations to drive aligned, insight-led decisions.
* Brand Representation: Be the face of Maver UK at major trade fairs, dealer events, and industry platforms.
Who You Are
* Significant experience leading high-performing sales teams
* A strong commercial mindset grounded in data, profitability, and long-term value creation
* Proven success managing budgets, P&L, and strategic pricing
* Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
* A passion for technical or premium consumer goods — knowledge of fishing tackle and the industry is essential.
* A proactive, accountable leadership style and the confidence to influence at senior level
