This is an exciting opportunity to join our Technical & Design Group as a Quantity Surveyor, providing services related to the Council's extensive property portfolio.
You will be part of a service that strives for excellence, working collaboratively with partner organisations and the construction sector. Responsibilities include cost estimating, preparing contract documents, managing payments, and contract administration.
The role involves traditional quantity surveying duties, including procurement and contract management, and offers a hybrid working pattern with some site and office attendance. You will need an RICS-accredited degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, along with Chartered Membership of RICS. Experience in the industry, familiarity with computerised billing systems, and knowledge of public sector procurement and standard construction contracts are preferred. A full UK driving licence is required.
Working Pattern:
* Monday to Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (55-minute unpaid break)
* Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (50-minute break)
