Job overview
The rotational programme provides an opportunity to consolidate theory into practice and to develop core skills in a variety of clinical areas including - Older Adults and Frailty, Neuroscience, Surgery and speciality rotations including Oncology, Social Services, and the Oxfordshire Wheelchair Service.
Each rotation is 6 months in duration and will be based across a variety of hospital and community settings.
The successful candidate will work within our respected and integrated Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams and will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills. The post holder will be expected to manage a caseload and plan and undertake Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions with support from their team and senior colleagues.

The post holder will be supported in maintaining and developing their own continued professional development to ensure that they not only progress in their role but that their interventions and assessments are underpinned by evidence and theoretical knowledge.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC Registration or within 6 months of qualifying
Experience
* Relevant undergraduate/Postgraduate Occupational Therapy clinical experience
* Relevant clinical experience in acute hospital setting
Skills
* Ability to work autonomously with individuals
* Knowledge, understanding and application of OT process relating to client centred practice
* Demonstrate knowledge of a wide range of assessment techniques and tools
* Understand scope/role of interdisciplinary working and team dynamics
* Ability to prioritise designated caseload
* Effective written and verbal/nonverbal communication skills
