Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Closeburn House – Dumfriesshire DG3 5HP
Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience)
Hours: 22 hours per week, 08:30am - 4:30pm (3 days a week)
Contract: Permanent 52 weeks
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs.
* Work collaboratively with the education team to provide speech and language therapy within an education setting.
* Adhere to the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working to guide practice and clarify roles and responsibilities.
* Contribute to developing an enhanced speech and language therapy offer by supporting the growth of apprentices, students, and therapy assistants.
* Support multidisciplinary clinical teams to provide vital provision in collaboration with education teams, helping pupils flourish and grow in independence.

The role
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Closeburn House school. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working to guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities.
