The Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team and lead the financial operations of the firm. This is a pivotal role that combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on management of day-to-day operations. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure sustainable growth, profitability, and compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
· Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
· Manage accounting functions, payroll, cash flow, and working capital.
· Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
· Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and other regulatory requirements.
· Lead procurement and supplier contract management.
· Drive process improvements and implement financial systems.
· Mentor and develop finance and legal cashiering staff.
About You
· Proven experience in financial management within a professional services environment (legal sector experience desirable).
· Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly SRA Accounts Rules.
· Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
· Proficiency in financial software and systems integration.
