Job Title: Learning Support Assistant in Banbury, Oxfordshire
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Pay: £14–£ per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, part-time, up to 30 hours per week
Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistants to join our dedicated team in Banbury, Oxfordshire. In this role, you will provide essential support to children and young adults with diverse additional needs, fostering their confidence, life skills, and independence within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Offer emotional and practical support tailored to each child or young person.
Assist with daily routines, including personal care, educational support, and engaging activities.
Encourage creativity, confidence, and social development through play, learning, and community participation.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, child-centred atmosphere.
Approach challenges calmly and constructively, with a solution-focused mindset.
About You:
Naturally caring and compassionate, with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Understanding of the emotional and developmental needs of children and teenagers.
Able to create a safe, fun, and empowering environment.
Confident in assisting with routines and day-to-day practical tasks.
Experience in childcare, education, youth work, or support is desirable (but not essential).
A driving licence is beneficial but not required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Creative, empathetic, and motivated to engage students with diverse needs.
Previous experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an advantage.
Willingness to complete personal care and manual handling training if required.
