We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Van Driver to join our client's team in Peterborough. This is a temporary role (minimum 12 weeks) with an immediate start to cover an absence. The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are: 8am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for making timely deliveries, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring the safety and condition of the vehicle.
* Carry out daily deliveries of vehicle parts to multiple locations (15-20 drops per day)
* Safely operate a loaded van and ensure timely deliveries
* Plan and follow efficient delivery routes within the assigned area
* Handle parcels with care and maintain accurate delivery records
* Provide excellent customer service at delivery points
* Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle
Requirements
* Valid UK driving licence (Cat B) – no more than 6 points
* Reliable, punctual, and self‑motivated
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
* Must have previous delivery driving experience
* Physically fit – some heavy lifting may be involved
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
