Business Support Assistant - Join a Leading Local Business! 🌟

Location: Ipswich
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Full Time

🧭 About the Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you'll be the go-to person for ensuring the smooth running of business operations. From coordinating travel and meetings to supporting process improvements and team events, you'll be at the heart of it all.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

🗓 Meetings & Travel Coordination

Manage diaries, book meeting rooms, and set up facilities (IT, refreshments, etc.).
Organise travel logistics: flights, hotels, parking, and transportation.
Coordinate restaurant bookings and all arrangements for Head Office visits.
Support the Assistant to the Managing Directors with meeting schedules and documentation.
Maintain a preferred supplier list for hotels and ensure cost-effective travel planning.📋 Administrative & General Support

Draft general correspondence and provide day-to-day admin support.
Maintain departmental spreadsheets and credit card records.
Track your own workload and support other team members as needed.
Order stationery, arrange gifts and anniversaries (in line with HR guidance), and manage staff milestone tracking.
Assist with ad-hoc tasks and support the Events Management team when required.🔄 Process & Efficiency

Take ownership of specific business support processes.
Create and manage documentation such as work instructions and checklists.
Deliver training and updates to the team.
Represent the Business Support Team in process discussions and collaborate on improvements.
