The service will provide 24 hour support and will comprises of seven newly built one bedroomed apartments. The housing provider has gone to great lengths to ensure that the accommodation is of a high specification to fully support individuals needs. Our new service in Thatto Heath, Heathside, St Helens has excellent local commuter routes, public transport access and community services, close to shops and local amenities. You would be part of a brand new team providing person centred care and support to people living in their own bespoke apartments in St Helens. The individuals will have diverse needs which include, learning disabilities, and some behaviours that challenge. All new starters will receive appropriate training, supervision mentoring. The role involves supporting individuals with their tenancies, daily living skills and accessing a wide range of community support. You will support people to plan their days and achieve goals and individual aspirations. Each day is different undertaking the role of a support worker. A support worker supports individuals to achieve their personal goals no matter how big or small. It is assisting individuals to live a full and worthwhile life. It is about promoting choice, encouraging healthy lifestyles, cooking nice meals, supporting individual to be valued members of the community, supporting to maintain good heath, supporting to engage with family. A support worker is really an amazing opportunity to assist an individual to live the best life possible. Waking Night Support Worker Responsibilities: • Providing direct person centred support to individuals, following bespoke support plans, supporting individuals to be independent and to encourage individuals to develop new skills. • Build trusting relationships and rapports with individuals. • Be a positive role model. • Empowering service users to make choices and promoting their rights. • A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service. • Have a positive attitude and be able to work well within a team. Previous experience is not required, as full training is provided. This position is ideal for people looking to develop both personally and professionally. You will have the choice to be paid weekly or monthly. We offer contracts from 15 hour up to 48 hours per week. We can offer both weekly and monthly pay.
