Contract: 12-month FTC
Salary: £34,000 per annum

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of the nursery. You’ll lead and inspire our team while ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and compliance. Collaborating closely with the Nursery Manager, you’ll help create a positive environment for children, families, and staff.

*This bonus will be paid after just 6 months of service and is based on a 40-hour week, making it the perfect time to join our team and be recognized for your qualification and contribution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
* Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
* Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
* Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources appropriate to their age and stage of development.
* Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
* Inspire the staff team with creative ideas and new challenges to achieve outstanding practice.
* Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements:
* Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
* Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - Essential
* Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
* Over 1 year’s experience of working in a management position - Desirable
* Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
* Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable
