Full time, fixed‑term contract until 22/01/2027.
Location: Cardiff – Hybrid.
Proposed salary range: £27,600 – £33,900, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Flexible working will be discussed at offer stage.
Welsh language skills are desirable.

Purpose of the role
This is an opportunity to be part of the BBC Sport Wales team covering sporting stories from across Wales. This role will involve managing and coordinating the BBC Sport Wales social media channels and producing content for them. Covering sport in the country on a national and domestic basis and helping shape the growth on these platforms.

Key responsibilities and impact
* Looking after BBC Sport Wales’ social media channels from ideation through to publication.
* Strong knowledge of latest social media trends and how these can be applied in everyday work.
* Strong knowledge of Welsh sport and sport in general, and keeping up with the latest stories.
* Editing short‑form video for the website and social media.
* Covering live sporting events and working in a fast‑paced environment.
Skills and experience
Essential criteria
* Strong journalistic and editorial skills.
* In‑depth knowledge of social media platforms and latest trends.
* Ability to edit video and create platform‑specific content.
* In‑depth knowledge of Welsh sport and global sport.
* Ability to create engaging copy for social media platforms.
Desirable criteria
* Adobe Suite knowledge.
* Welsh language.
