About the Role
As a locum Consultant in Haematology, you'll provide expert care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.
Responsibilities
10. 1:7 on call ideally but there is potential to negotiate. Dept will discuss job plan/rota with shortlisted candidates directly. There are general and malignant haematology clinics to run. Inpatients to review. Remote cover for BGH to provide. SACT patients to review. USC referrals to evaluate. On call to cover. Medical staff to train. 40 hours- 10 sessions plus on call
11. Supporting junior doctors and clinical staff
12. Contributing to service development and audits
What We're Looking For
Essential:
13. MBBS or equivalent medical degree
14. Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
15. A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
16. UK Right to Work
17. Strong communication and teamworking skills
Desirable:
18. CCT in Haematology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
