Join Our Team of Fuel Delivery Experts – Class 1 ADR Fuel Tanker Driver - Twilight Shift. Full-Time | 40 Hours (Mon-Fri). £32,760+ per annum | Overtime at Enhanced Rates.
Operating on a consistent twilight shift (2pm-10pm), you will play a vital role in delivering fuels safely and efficiently to our customers across the North East, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk region. This role emphasises reliability, safety and customer service.
The Role – What to Expect
This is a driving job with a hands-on element. You'll be physically active, delivering fuels and lubricants to domestic, agricultural and commercial customers and our depots across the North East, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk region. You will perform deliveries, loading and unloading your vehicle daily—at our depot or at designated fuel terminals—and be the face of WCF to our customers.
You'll need to think on your feet, work independently and maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and service. This role can be challenging; however, the varied day-to-day deliveries are highly rewarding for the right person.
Note: Overtime is a regular and expected part of the role, especially during busy seasons. Overtime is paid at an enhanced rate.
About You
* A qualified HGV Class 1 driver (ADR certificate with Class 3 in tanks is a strong advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate)
* Driver CPC certified.
* PDP (Petroleum Drivers Passport) - Desirable
* Practical, methodical and safety conscious.
* Can manage physically demanding tasks and be comfortable with manual work during daily operations.
* Have excellent understanding of tachograph regulations.
* Capable of working independently and taking ownership of tasks and responsibility.
* Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
* Willing to work flexible hours to support customer needs especially in colder months.
Interview Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview between 1st September and 5th September. The process will include:
* A structured interview with competency-based questions
* A practical driver assessment to evaluate safety and vehicle handling
