Job Purpose
As a Tender Engineer, you will generate quotes for Flow Measurement Products, review customer specifications, issue RFQs, prepare proposals, and coordinate orders through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review RFQ specifications to understand technical requests and provide value-engineered solutions.
2. Familiarize with general specifications and market requirements.
3. Develop specifications for buyout items and obtain competitive quotes.
4. Consolidate solutions to be cost-effective.
5. Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
6. Attend clarification meetings with clients as needed.
7. Ensure tenders meet company guidelines and have necessary approvals.
8. Coordinate with sales teams and maintain communication.
9. Understand risks and hazards, and implement mitigation measures.
10. Manage handover documentation upon order receipt.
11. Process Purchase Orders in the system.
12. Implement Continuous Improvement Processes from proposal to handover.
13. Enhance inter-business unit collaboration and support virtual teams.
14. Maintain templates for budget bids to ensure efficiency.
15. Organize quote structures based on RFQ expectations, including compliance and legal terms.
16. Support company initiatives and contribute to product development insights.
17. Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation).
* 3-5 years of experience in applications, sales, engineering, or procurement, preferably in oil and gas.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and processes.
* Proficiency in PC and MS Office.
* Strong communication skills.
* Understanding of cost estimation and accounting.
* Detail-oriented with analytical skills.
* Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of industry standards like API, ISO.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for global teamwork.
Skills & Additional Skills
Experience in inside sales, ERP systems, and working with technical teams is preferred.
