Overview:
A skilled and Gas Safe-registered Commercial Catering Engineer with COMCAT 1, 2, 3, and 5 qualifications, specialising in the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment. Experienced in supporting restaurants, schools, care homes, and hospitality businesses by delivering prompt and reliable breakdown response and preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment uptime and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver responsive breakdown and repair services for a wide range of commercial catering appliances including gas ovens, grills, fryers, steamers, and dishwashers.

Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce equipment failure and extend appliance life cycles.

Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on gas and electric catering equipment across various brands and models.
*
Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with Gas Safe regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
*
Maintain detailed and accurate service reports and job documentation via digital systems or service software.
*
Advise customers on appliance condition, required repairs, and general maintenance to avoid future downtime.

Support health and safety compliance within commercial kitchens by ensuring all appliances meet legal and operational standards.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with site contacts and kitchen staff, ensuring a professional and courteous service at all times.
Qualifications & Certifications:

COMCAT 1, 2, 3, 5 – Commercial Catering Gas Qualifications
*
Gas Safe Registered – Commercial Catering
*
Electrical fault-finding experience (advantageous)
*
Valid UK driving licence
*
CSCS or equivalent site safety qualifications (desirable)
