IT Support Engineer
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £26,000 + 4% pension
I’m working with a client in Basingstoke who is looking to add an IT Support Engineer to their team. This role will suit someone who enjoys hands-on IT support, working directly with users, and keeping systems and equipment running smoothly.
The role will involve:
1. Providing user support via the service desk, both remotely and in person
2. Issuing, repairing, and tracking IT equipment for starters and leavers
3. Maintaining and updating Active Directory and M365
4. Monitoring backups and escalating issues when needed
5. Troubleshooting hardware and software problems (laptops, PCs, printers, scanners, switches, browsers)
6. Liaising with third-party suppliers for equipment repairs and support

7. Experience in IT support with strong troubleshooting skills
8. Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
9. Good knowledge of Active Directory, software deployment, and PC hardware
10. Organised and proactive, with a calm approach under pressure
