Neighbourhood Officer
Salary: £36,149Hours: Monday–Friday, 37 hoursLocation: Coventry (mobile role)Contract: 3-month temporary contract, with potential extension
Are you passionate about creating safe, welcoming neighbourhoods where people are proud to live? We’re looking for a proactive Neighbourhood Officer to manage a patch of around 500 homes across the Coventry area.
This is a mobile role with the flexibility to work from home or an office for admin tasks. A full driving licence is essential.
What you’ll be doing
* Managing anti-social behaviour cases and using early-intervention tools to resolve issues.
* Completing regular estate and block inspections and identifying repairs or safety risks.
* Ensuring communal areas remain safe, clear, and compliant with fire-risk actions.
* Supporting residents with tenancy advice, changes, and end-of-tenancy processes.
* Addressing tenancy breaches, including abandonments and unauthorised occupation.
* Working alongside partners to support vulnerable residents and resolve ASB.
* Recognising safeguarding concerns and responding appropriately.
* Contributing to performance targets and helping improve service delivery.
What we’re looking for
* Experience in housing, neighbourhood management, or a customer-facing role.
* Knowledge of tenancy conditions, ASB processes, and housing legislation.
* Strong communication skills and confidence in challenging situations.
* Ability to manage workload independently and make informed decisions.
* Good IT and case-management skills.
* A customer-focused, resilient, and solution-driven approach.
