This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join the Mental Health Rehabilitation Service as we launch Community Rehabilitation in North Kent. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced therapists.
Community Rehabilitation supports people with mental health problems to live a full and active life within their family & community, working in partnership with Social Care, Housing, and the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.
As a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for offering high-quality psychological treatments (individual & group) and family interventions. Case consultation and joint work with team members will also be expected. You will have ample scope and support to develop your own practice while providing a highly professional service to people with psychosis and their families.
What is High Cost Area Allowance?
The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also known as London Weighting, is a payment made to employees working in London and surrounding areas.
Since this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham, or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional monthly payment.
It is 5% of the basic salary, with a minimum of £1,303 per year and a maximum of £2,198 per year. The annual amount will be divided into 12 monthly payments (2025 figures).
Main duties of the job:
1. Be responsible for the systematic provision of Psychological Therapies or interventions.
2. Undertake high-quality direct and indirect specialist psychology interventions (including CBT/CBTp & family interventions).
3. Work collaboratively as part of the multi-professional team and enhance the therapeutic practice of the team.
4. Contribute to the mental health services in Kent and Medway, serving a diverse population and providing excellent care.
