Job Description:
Join our Restaurant Management team at Fairmont St. Andrews! As the Outlet Manager of St. Andrews Bar & Grill, a 2AA Rosette restaurant, you will ensure the venue is a top dining destination and workplace.
Located on a stunning cliff top with panoramic views over golf courses and St Andrews Bay, our restaurant prides itself on sourcing local, seasonal produce from Scottish farms and suppliers.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading, mentoring, and training your team
* Taking sole responsibility for the outlet during shifts, managing duties, and ensuring smooth operations
* Collaborating with the Golf Team for optimal service
* Maintaining brand standards for Food & Beverage
* Developing new products and service offerings
* Implementing upsell strategies
* Creating memorable guest experiences
* Addressing guest requests and anticipating needs
* Managing staff recruitment
* Handling complaints
* Keeping stock and financial records
* Complying with liquor laws and regulations
* Managing payroll and financial forecasts
* Supporting other venues when needed
* Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications and skills:
* Service-oriented personality; leadership experience required
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders
* Strong communication and networking skills
* Leadership by example with a focus on team culture and high performance
Team and environment:
* Fast-paced team environment experience
* At least 2 years in a leadership role in a high-end restaurant
* Excellent beverage and wine knowledge
* Flexible shifts including day, evening, and weekends
* Multi-outlet operation experience
* Legal eligibility to work in the UK; assistance not provided
