Join Our Team as a Senior Technician!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are on the lookout for a Senior Technician to become a vital part of our dynamic Design team based in Wymondham, Norfolk. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of building types and site redevelopments across various sectors, including education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial projects for both public and private clients.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Technician, you will play a crucial role within our Civil and Structural Engineering team. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional and sustainable structural engineering services that meet the latest information management standards. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
* Produce and check coordinated structural drawings, design models, schedules, and specifications in a quality-assured environment.
* Check and coordinate structural design information with other technical disciplines.
* Act as the lead Structural Technician on significant building structure design projects, collaborating with Architecture, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Building Services Engineering teams.
* Mentor fellow structural technicians, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
* Occasionally visit sites for surveys and inspections, engaging with other Kier colleagues.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold a professional qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline, or an HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering, Building, or Construction.
* Are proficient in REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD software, with a strong understanding of current CDM Regulations and British and European Standards.
* Have experience in checking the work of other structural technicians within a quality management system environment.
* Possess a full driving license to visit various sites and offices.
