The firm’s Core Data Platform group builds and maintains the essential systems, services, and APIs that enable researchers, engineers, and investment teams to access and analyse data at scale.
You’ll join a small, highly capable team operating in a cloud-native, Kubernetes environment, combining open-source tools and modern engineering practices to create a unified, next-generation data platform.

What You’ll Do
* Design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs and core data services used across the firm.
* Work closely with fellow engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to enhance data accessibility and reliability.
* Take part in architecture and design discussions, ensuring solutions are scalable, testable, and well-documented.
* Improve data ingestion, orchestration, and metadata systems to support a growing analytics platform.
* Offer technical insight and second/third-line support on complex data issues.
What You’ll Need
* 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
* Strong programming background in Python or Go, plus another object-oriented language.
* Proficiency in SQL (both transactional and analytical use cases).
* Experience working with data lakes, ETL frameworks, and orchestration tools such as Airflow.
* Familiarity with streaming systems (Kafka) and metadata management tools.
* Solid knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and Kubernetes.
* Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
* A proactive, inquisitive approach who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and improving data systems from the ground up.
