Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Outpatient Reception and Booking Team based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Lancaster. You will be responsible for receiving and responding to telephone calls and queries from patients, GP's and Hospital staff in relation to outpatient appointments. You will mutually agree an appropriate date and time with patients for them to see a clinician in an Outpatient setting. Previous administration and customer service experience would be an advantage but not essential. A full training package will be available to support the start of your Administration career in the NHS. You will be working with highly confidential information.
There are part‑time and full‑time opportunities available. The reception service is open from 08.30 am to 05 pm, five days a week. You may need to work flexibly and occasionally weekends.
About Us
We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI) and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal – as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital, GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe and Ulverston Community Health Centre. All three hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery.
