Role Summary

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide leadership to the wider Occupational Therapy team at Community Mental Health Team East and deliver specialised interventions through individual and group sessions.
This position will be based at the Alloway Centre, Community Mental Health Team East, with the potential for relocation to other areas of our community-based services in response to service developments and future needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Occupational Therapy team at Community Mental Health Team East.
* Deliver specialised interventions through both individual and group sessions.
* Collaborate with a diverse range of professionals including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, social work, peer support, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, and dietetics.
* Engage with partners from local voluntary organisations, advocacy services, employment agencies, and care provider organisations as part of practice.
* Participate in community services which may operate up to seven days per week.
* Support professional growth of the Occupational Therapy team through the experienced Leadership Team.
Qualifications
* Registered with the HCPC.
* Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Commitment to ongoing supervision and professional development.
Working Hours & Conditions
* Hours: 37 hours per week; full‑time pay unchanged while NHS Scotland reduces its full‑time week from 37 to 36 hours effective 1 April 2026.
* Service currently operates 9 am‑5 pm Monday‑Friday; there is an aspiration for community services to be available 7 days per week.
* Potential relocation to other community-based services as service needs evolve.
