Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation in line with established recipes and standards
* Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen
* Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure adherence to operational procedures
* Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality service
Skills
* Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
* Excellent culinary skills with a flair for innovative menu creation
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
* Leadership qualities with the capacity to organise staff schedules and delegate responsibilities
* Good communication skills for liaising with team members and management
* Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
* Knowledge of food presentation techniques and customer service principles
