Hours: 8:40am – 3:20pm, Term Time Only
Pay: £13.75 per hour (paid weekly)
Contract: Full academic year (October 2025 – July 2026)
Are you a caring, experienced, and motivated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child’s life?
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a Reception-aged child who is on the autism pathway. Your role will be to support the child to bridge learning gaps, develop social communication skills, and maximise academic progress.
About the Role:
* Supporting a Reception child with identified SEN needs
* Helping to deliver individualised support strategies
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Promoting inclusion and positive interactions throughout the school day
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – Essential
✅ Experience in UK mainstream classrooms – Essential
✅ Autism awareness or direct experience supporting children with Autism – Desirable
✅ Knowledge of the EYFS Framework – Advantageous
✅ Experience working with young children
✅ Calm, patient, and proactive approach to support
This is a term-time only position in a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Fulwood, Preston, ideal for someone passionate about SEN and early years education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
