Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Swindon
THE POSITION:
Our client is a specialist educational provision for young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. They are in need of an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join them on a long-term basis. With the complex needs of the students, we are looking for individuals who are capable and enthusiastic to work in a challenging but highly rewarding environment.
As a HLTA at the school, you will always promote positive behaviour in line with school policies and support the pupil according to individual needs. The successful candidate will be working with students with behavioural difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so prior experience within this field is essential. Some lesson delivery will also be required at times.

POSITION DETAILS:

7. Pay Rate – £97- £105 per day
8. Hours – 8:30am-15:30 (term time only and times may vary)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
9. Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (ideally in an SEN setting)
10. Strong behaviour management skills and the capability to engage with students
11. Resilient, charismatic and compassionate
12. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year – Prospero can provide this
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY TEACHING JOB WITH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
13. Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
14. Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
15. Provide two professional child related references.
