Job Summary
The Service Manager Biomedical Science will play a key leadership role within the National Pathology Imaging Co‑operative (NPIC), managing a complex portfolio of projects and operational services that support innovation, service improvement and high‑quality patient care. This position requires close collaboration with clinical teams, managers and external stakeholders to lead the development and implementation of effective business processes, service redesign initiatives and operational plans. The role ensures the delivery of key performance, access and capacity targets across NPIC sites, supporting strategic planning, business continuity and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of business processes and service redesign initiatives across NPIC sites.
* Provide line management to the NPIC Biomedical Science team.
* Support strategic planning, business continuity and the execution of operational plans.
* Manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
* Apply governance, risk management and continuous improvement principles to improve quality, efficiency and patient outcomes.
* Analyse and interpret complex information to support decision‑making.
