Hybrid – Hertfordshire (3 days per week on site)
£65,000 + 10% Bonus + benefits
Ideally looking for someone who is immediately available to start ASAP
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Category Manager to join a leading UK brand during an exciting period of growth and transformation on a 12M fixed term contract for maternity cover. The individual is due to finish end of October so someone immediately available is highly desirable.
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, this role will play a key part in driving commercial value, improving supplier performance, and embedding procurement best practice across a diverse stakeholder network across indirect spend.
You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce cost and complexity, improve service, and enhance value across a variety of indirect spend categories, all with the aim of supporting great customer and team experiences while delivering EBITDA savings.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day commercial relationships with key suppliers
* Lead end-to-end sourcing activity, including tendering, negotiation, and contracting
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver measurable savings
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders to embed procurement discipline and best practice
* Ensure compliance, safety, and service standards are consistently met and exceeded
* Support the delivery of brand-wide procurement strategy and continuous improvement
About You
We’re looking for a commercially astute procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is confident engaging senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.
You’ll bring:
* 3–5 years’ experience in procurement or buying, ideally across indirect categories
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
* A proactive mindset and ability to influence without direct authority
* Experience delivering tangible cost savings and process improvements
