Responsibilities
* Supporting patients with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility with comfort, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
* Supporting patients' families and carers, where appropriate.
* Assisting with nutrition and hydration, including meal support and fluid balance monitoring.
* Monitoring and recording observations, as required. This includes temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised care environment.
* Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the registered nursing staff.
* Assisting nurses and other clinicians with clinical tasks and procedures within scope of practice.
* Accurately documenting care in patient records.
* Promoting infection prevention and control practices, New Forrest - Provides specialist care in Diabetes and Endocrinology alongside acute general medicine, supporting patients with a wide range of medical needs.
* Simpson - Delivers care for older patients, including stroke support, with a strong focus on dementia care and the assessment and management of complex behaviours.
* Cheetham Hill - An older persons care ward supporting patients living with dementia, as well as those with a broad range of acute medical conditions.
* Midgley - An acute medical ward with a respiratory specialty, caring for patients who are acutely unwell and have complex health needs.
