What you’ll be doing
Principle Accountabilities
Stores Management
 * Responsibility for overall stores and yard maintenance
 * Maintaining a tidy, safe and well‑organised stores environment
 * Managing deliveries, including the use of a forklift truck
 * Booking in and out of stock, both physically and on our systems
 * Maintaining inventory levels, proactively ordering materials and keeping clear max/min stock levels
 * Carrying out stock counts, and taking responsibility for the inventory accuracy
Plant & Fleet
 * Dealing with day‑to‑day vehicle issues
 * Liaising with our internal support team and external suppliers to keep our fleet compliant and on the road
 * Ensuring our tools, lifting equipment and electrical assets are calibrated and compliant
Compliance
 * Assisting to ensure our depot and facilities are in compliance with Balfour Beatty and general H&S requirements
 * Assisting with audit preparation
Procurement
 * Liaising with the contract team for purchasing of products for the
Who we’re looking for
Essential
 * Experience of working in a stores environment with a level of ownership / responsibility
 * Experience and knowledge of general IT, e.g. MS Office and stores management database systems
 * A positive, proactive attitude, and the ability to show and exercise initiative.
 * Able to thrive in a role which is primarily based in a stores & warehouse environment, but also requires some time spent at the desk using IT systems.
Desirable
 * Experience with Oracle R12
 * A valid forklift licence, or good experience of operating a forklift
