What you’ll do on a typical day:
Build and own smart, multi‑site transport plans that hit service metrics, maximise trailer fill, and deliver the best cost‑to‑serve; without breaking warehouse capability
* Make backhaul work smarter by planning, executing, and optimising the national backhaul plan, cutting empty miles, boosting round trips, and fixing failures fast
* Keep transport moving, by sourcing the right solutions from depots, hauliers, and third parties
* Turn data into action through KPI tracking, financial reporting, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement that drives real operational and commercial gains
* Be the connector and challenger, working closely with hauliers, depots, finance, and internal teams to resolve issues, raise standards, and build a high‑performing transport operation
