Here's more about the role and what we're looking for
We're seeking an experienced, professional and highly organised individual to work in our Research and Innovation Contracts Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a wide-ranging portfolio of contracts, including research collaboration agreements, studentship agreements, consultancy agreements, grant agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
Typical responsibilities
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating research and consultancy agreements.
• Relationship building with academics and colleagues from professional services.
• Explaining legal and contract management obligations to academics and post-award colleagues to ensure their understanding of, and compliance with, terms.
Key Requirements
• Previous experience of contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of the principles of contract law and understanding of contractual terms.
• A pro-active approach to work and the ability to use initiative.
