Procurement Officer
Barrow-in-Furness (Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite)
£23 per hour PAYE plus holiday accrual
6-month contract - BAE Systems
Were recruiting for a Procurement / Supply Chain Officer to support key delivery programmes at BAE Systems in Barrow. This is a great opportunity to work in a regulated, project-driven environment with a leading defence organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support end-to-end procurement activities across major programmes
* Develop and manage procurement plans
* Assist with tendering, supplier selection, and contract award
* Support supplier negotiations and performance management
* Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry regulations
* Identify and manage procurement risks and issues
Requirements
* Experience in procurement or supply chain within construction, infrastructure, or similar sectors
* Understanding of contract management and supplier performance
* Familiarity with procurement processes and governance
* Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts (desirable)
* Experience in regulated or public sector environments (beneficial)
