The position will be Term Time only the pro rata salary will be from £22,917.23 to £24,518.79 per annum; however, part-time hours will be considered. To provide effective co-ordination across all College sites for the delivery of a high quality careers and educational guidance service to individuals and groups of students from pre-entry to exit, in accordance with matrix Quality Standards for Guidance. To liaise and work in partnership with tutors and to deliver careers education and guidance as part of the tutorial programme in line with the College’s quality framework, thereby aiding retention and achievement. To maintain and develop effective internal and external partnerships to ensure that students receive accurate and up-to-date and impartial advice, information and guidance To make an effective contribution towards raising the number of students who successfully progress into Higher Education, employment or training. To develop innovative and motivational ways of increasing the employability of our students. Skills/Experience: To demonstrate well-developed IT skills, including word-processing and accurate database input. To demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with staff, students and visitors, in person and over the phone. Well organised with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of FE/HE systems and careers directions typically followed by FE students Experience of working with students in post 16 education or similar environment. As an Educational Careers Guidance Adviser Knowledge of available careers resources, websites, on-line information Experience of data inputting and administrative delivery in a fast-paced environment Qualifications: To provide evidence of an education to at least GCSE standard or equivalent including English and Maths at grade C or above. Career guidance and development qualification, L6 or equivalent Ideal Attributes: Ability to co-ordinate and motivate staff Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Able to keep accurate records and share information appropriately Collaborative and enthusiastic team player ?
