We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our dynamic Engineering department. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching across our BTEC and new T Level qualifications to both Higher Education (HE) and Further Education (FE) students.
Day-to-day of the role of a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer:
* Deliver specific units across our BTEC & T Level programmes.
* Write associated assignments in line with awarding body requirements.
* Develop the programmes and associated course materials.
* Provide tutorial/pastoral support for your tutor group.
* Promote attendance and participate in team meetings.
* Support quality assurance processes within the department.
* Work closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager, and the Engineering team to share industry knowledge and skills, helping learners achieve at the highest level and driving continuous improvement within the College.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineering Role:
* A teaching qualification.
* A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (a Level 5 qualification may be considered).
* Significant engineering industry experience.
* Previous teaching experience, including delivery of BTEC and/or T levels.
* Practical engineering (machining) experience is advantageous but not essential.
