Qualified Social Worker - Adults Safeguarding

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Adults Safeguarding Team in Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and integrated adult social care team delivering high-quality safeguarding and statutory services.
Purpose of the Role
To support the delivery of health and social care functions for adults and carers across Wirral. The role plays a key part in delivering Personalisation and Inclusion Pathways, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014 and embedding strength-based, asset-based practice and social inclusion.
You will assess, access and implement a range of social care services, providing advice, guidance and safeguarding support to adults with complex physical health, mental health needs, older people and carers.
Key Responsibilities
Adult Social Care & Safeguarding
Triage contacts and undertake Section 42 enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014
Conduct Care Act assessments, care and support planning and reviews
Undertake safeguarding enquiries and coordinate strategy meetings
Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions under the Mental Capacity Act 2005
Work in partnership within a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
Support prevention of hospital admissions and promote independence
Arrange and review support packages for adults with complex needs
Legal & Statutory Frameworks
Work within relevant legislation including:
Care Act 2014
Mental Capacity Act 2005
Mental Health Act 1983
Human Rights Act 1998
Equality Act 2010
Essential Criteria
Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW or equivalent)
Registered with Social Work England
Completion of ASYE plus minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience
Proven experience in adult safeguarding and statutory duties
Experience conducting safeguarding enquiries and coordinating strategy meetings
Experience working with adults with complex needs
Strong assessment, organisational and communication skills
Desirable:
Best Interest Assessor (BIA) training
Practice Educator Award
Court report writing and attendance experience
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel across the Borough
Flexible working approach including occasional evenings/weekends
Emotional resilience and ability to manage complex/challenging situations
