The role of Gas Operations Manager will include:
1. Manage the recruitment, performance and development of quality staff to ensure that the required skilled staff are available to meet the needs of the service
2. Manage the operational delivery of a cost-effective Internal Maintenance service by operating within
appropriate financial policies and procedures and agreed budgets
3. Manage the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external
customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately
4. Assist in drafting and reviewing relevant policies and procedures and effectively communicate and implement these, ensuring effective application of good practice and legal compliance
5. Assist in the effective management of the Internal Maintenance service to ensure the timely achievement of business targets and contribute to the development of growth opportunities in accordance with the strategy
Skills and experiences:
6. To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, Energy efficiency qualification, Gas Auditing Qualification, HTR1, Water Regulations (WRAS)- or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
7. Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
8. Experience of managing multi-site maintenance contracts in a commercially focussed role
9. Operating within a performance focussed environment, delivering key performance Indicators
10. Demonstrate achievement in project management
11. Proven track record managing a direct labour operation or internal maintenance service
12. This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
