LOCATION: Salford, Dock House – Hybrid (2/3 days in the office)
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £35,000 - £40,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC Sounds is the BBC’s digital audio platform bringing radio, music and podcasts to our listeners wherever they are. You will sit in the heart of the Sounds Team, providing high-level administrative and organisational support for four senior leaders within the team, including the Director of BBC Sounds. You will manage their busy and complex diaries, liaising with a wide range of people internal and external to the BBC to help ensure the team runs smoothly. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys working at pace as part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Manage busy, complex diaries for four senior managers, including the Sounds Director, optimising them to align with individual working styles and enable efficient time utilisation
* Organise internal and external meetings and events
* Coordinate and book travel arrangements and itineraries
* Support document preparation, including meeting agendas and presentations
* Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on behalf of the senior managers
* Handle confidential correspondence and documentation with discretion.
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Substantial experience working as a PA to multiple senior level managers within a large matrix organisation, including managing complex diaries.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines with great attention to detail.
* Proven ability to interact confidently and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – in particular Outlook, but also Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Proactive approach to anticipating needs and resolving issues before they arise, with ability to work independently, use own initiative and make sound decisions under pressure, escalating to others as necessary.

* Ability to advise senior managers on how to shape their diary to work effectively
* Able to be approachable yet firm as the situation demands
* Able to think creatively in response to changing needs
* Experience of handling sensitive data, and keeping information confidential where needed
* An interest in the success of BBC Sounds
* Experience of carrying out a range of business support/team assistant activities
