Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own home settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Driving may be required for home visits, making it essential for candidates to hold a valid driving licence.
Duties
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting service users with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Supporting the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Monitoring and recording changes in patients' conditions and reporting them to the healthcare team.
* Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for all individuals in your care.
* Utilising IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Experience
Candidates should ideally have experience in a care home or home care environment, demonstrating familiarity with care plans and patient support. Proficiency in IT is advantageous for managing records and communication effectively. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and colleagues, ensuring that all parties feel informed and supported throughout their care journey.
