The Opportunity
As Category Manager, you will play a key role within a high-performing team tasked with shaping and delivering the commercial and category vision for the UK. This is a rare blend of strategic impact, customer-facing influence, and long-term brand building.
Support the Head of Category and senior leadership Team in shaping the 1–5 year strategic direction for the business unit
Drive category performance through world-class insight, turning data into compelling recommendations and action
Own relationships with key grocery retailers, becoming the go-to partner for category thinking and joint planning
Lead your own category projects while also contributing to wider commercial goals
Influence product innovation, range planning and merchandising strategy
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, commercial, finance and supply chain to land the category plan
Help define the “Category Compass” that guides shopper behaviour, retailer activation and commercial decision-making

Candidate Profile
We are open-minded on your background. You might be a:
Current Category Executive or Junior Category Manager in a leading FMCG business
Commercial or Trading professional looking to move into category strategy
Buyer or Merchandiser from a top UK Retailer ready to step across into FMCG supplier-side
Ambitious problem-solver with the confidence to influence decisions, challenge thinking, and drive insight into action
You’ll need:
Strong data fluency, ideally across Nielsen, IRI, Kantar or Retailer Data Systems
Strategic thinking with a commercial mindset and an eye on long-term value
The confidence to build relationships and influence decisions across teams
A proactive, can-do mindset and natural curiosity about shopper behaviour and market dynamics
