Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Starting at £25,563.20, with potential earnings up to £32,283.20 including sleep-in shifts
Are you a warm, motivated, and inspiring individual? We invite you to become a part of our welcoming team at Bay View! You will work in one of our family-style homes located in Heysham or rural North Lancashire, each supporting a maximum of four young people.
In this rewarding role, you will support young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Your mission? To help them build confidence and achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing environment where they can truly thrive.
Our homes are rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, and we are seeking passionate individuals committed to maintaining and enhancing these high standards.
If you don’t already hold a relevant qualification, fear not! You will complete either the Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People or the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years.
A full UK driving licence is essential.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality care and key worker responsibilities, consistently exceeding Ofsted National Minimum Standards
* Provide exceptional childcare for all young people in the home
* Actively contribute to improving the lives and outcomes of every young person
* Build positive relationships with families, friends, and external professionals
* Foster a culture of trust, respect, and teamwork among children and staff
Providing Exceptional Childcare:
* Contribute to high-quality, individual care plans for each young person, adhering to legal requirements and Ofsted standards
* Record and share feedback from young people, families, and professionals with the management team
* Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
* Build trusting relationships, understanding each child's unique background and needs
* Create an inclusive atmosphere where children feel they belong
* Support children with daily activities, helping them build routines, confidence, and life skills
* Supervise young people closely, responding to signs of concern and de-escalating situations as needed
* Communicate concerns promptly to management and complete all required documentation accurately
* Conduct risk assessments for new and existing activities
* Engage in activities with children, acting as a positive role model
* Maintain constructive communication with families and contribute to child reviews
* Uphold company policies and ensure thorough record-keeping
* Assist with cooking and food shopping, ensuring meals meet agreed standards
