This is more than just a selling role; you will work with the board to deliver, implement, and drive the company's New Market Entry strategy. This is a senior and very important position; success could lead to promotion to Director within a global leader in a multi-billion group. The key to success in this role is a proven track record and profound understanding of the Aerospace markets in Europe, or similar experience in Gas Turbines, Medical, Space, or Oil and Gas sectors, all of which are highly regulated and demanding.
The Candidate:
* Proven success in selling, penetrating, and winning business in critical markets across Europe
* Experience in Aerospace Tier 1 and OEM markets is highly desirable
* Knowledge of metals and metal components in these markets is advantageous
* Experience or desire to move into strategic new market entry business development; this role is challenging but suited for a resilient character
* Outstanding skills in new business development and key account management, with the ability to build long-term relationships
* Strategic thinker with sector mapping, self-generation, and long-term sales experience
* Sales management or senior business development experience is preferred
* Ability to forecast and budget accurately
* Pipeline management and closing skills
* Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with various levels within organizations
* Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and navigate corporate networks
