Electronics Design Manager – Glamorgan – Ref 2016
The organisation has been in operation for many years and is a worldwide leader within the design, development, and manufacture of highly intelligent products. The business employs around 250 people, has a very impressive turnover, and continuously evolves legacy products while designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market. In line with the business's expansion plans, the company seeks to appoint an Electronics Design Manager on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
As the Electronics Design Manager, you will lead a team of 10 engineers, comprising Electronics Design Engineers and Embedded Software Engineers. Your primary objective is to enable the team to deliver projects to a satisfactory standard, on time, and within budget, with support from the Programmes team. You will provide technical guidance to solve engineering challenges and drive appropriate solutions. Your activities will include focusing on NPD/NPI projects while supporting existing products in sustaining activities, obsolescence management, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
Essential Requirements
* Experience as an Electronics Design Manager, Electronics Manager, Hardware Manager, Embedded Software Manager, or similar
* Technical background as an Electronics Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Firmware Engineer, or similar
Desirable Requirements
* Experience within a highly regulated industry
