Greenmeadow Community Farm has been welcoming visitors since September 2025, and weâre now looking for an experienced and inspiring General Manager to lead and continue developing our diverse catering operation.

The Role
As General Manager, you will oversee a busy, multi-outlet catering environment, including:
* A welcoming Farmshop championing local produce and artisan products
* A popular Café Restaurant serving seasonal, farm-inspired menus
* A stylish Barista Coffee Bar offering quality grab-and-go options
* Concessions located across the site
* A family-focused Playbarn Café
* A varied programme of events and hospitality, from school visits and seasonal events to private functions
Youâll be responsible for commercial performance, food quality, service delivery, compliance, and â most importantly â developing and inspiring your teams.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
As General Manager, youâll play a pivotal role in leading a vibrant, multi-outlet catering operation at one of the regionâs most exciting new destinations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing the full catering operation across the farm, including the Farmshop, Café Restaurant, Barista Coffee Bar, Playbarn Café, Concessions, and Events & Hospitality Spaces
* Building and leading a large, diverse team, ensuring exceptional service, safety, and hygiene standards across all outlets
* Managing day-to-day operations, including stock control, supplier relationships, menu planning, allergen management, and cost control
* Collaborating with the wider farm team to support school visits, seasonal events, private functions, and community activities
* Maintaining operational excellence across a logistically varied site, ensuring smooth service delivery and a consistent visitor experience
* Implementing and upholding food safety and quality standards (including HACCP) across all catering areas
* Delivering seamless hospitality experiences for external bookings, high-profile events, and community functions
* Driving innovation and continuous improvement, adapting to visitor feedback and evolving needs to enhance the overall food and hospitality offering
Qualifications
What Weâre Looking For:
* Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy GM in a high-volume, quality-focused environment
* A strong background in wedding and event cateringâyou know how to deliver under pressure
* A track record of leading, training, and motivating large teams
* Financially astute with experience in budgeting and commercial performance
* Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
* Empathetic and effective communicator with a solution-focused mindset
* Strong strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
* Able to work 5 out of 7 days, including weekends and evenings as needed
