Are you ready to kickstart your career in underwriting? We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Underwriting Assistant Interns to join and gain hands-on experience and develop your skills. You will play a crucial role in our operations, contributing to either customer-facing or support functions. Whether you're assisting with sales, customer service, and renewals or supporting policy wordings, portfolio management, and performance tracking in underwriting, you'll be an integral part of our team. Key responsibilities Plan, prioritise, and manage your work to meet objectives. Accurately input and manage data, ensuring quality standards are met. Act as a triage service for customer and internal enquiries. Process and underwrite midterm adjustments and renewals for existing business. Build effective internal relationships to deliver exceptional customer service. Respond to audit results and implement action plans to improve performance. Understand and operate within regulatory frameworks, escalating risks as needed. Produce scheduled and ad-hoc management information (MI) reports. Communicate with brokers and business partners to resolve issues promptly. Knowledge, skills and experience Currently studying towards a relevant undergraduate degree with a placement year. Proven customer service experience. Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage work to meet objectives. Strong data input and management skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Proactive and enthusiastic attitude. Excellent numeracy skills.
