The Technical Support Engineer plays a pivotal role in providing second‑line support to field engineers and clients to ensure the successful maintenance and servicing of digital CCTV and associated electronic security systems, building management, and AV systems at customer sites throughout London, the Southeast and the UK.
How you will do it
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will leverage your hands‑on expertise in supporting and maintaining IP Access Control systems, whether for single, multi‑site, or enterprise configurations. You will also expand your knowledge in audio‑visual systems, encompassing audio/video recorders, video walls, and displays while managing a diverse customer base through both remote access and on‑site engagement. Maintaining consistent communication with the Technical Services Manager, the Operations Team, and the UK Service Manager to report on progress and seek assistance as needed is essential to your responsibilities.
What we look for
Required:
* A solid understanding of networking capabilities, including the configuration of network hardware
* Experience in installing and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems, with a focus on network and cyber security settings
* A broad understanding of IT fundamentals and computer system architecture
* Strong stakeholder management skills across various levels
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non‑technical audiences
* Exceptional organizational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred:
* Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
* Certification in an Enterprise‑class Access Control or Video Management System (VMS)
* Certification in CCNA or equivalent
