About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Production Operator at our Kerry site in Padiham, Co. Lancashire.
This is a full-time, permanent position with core hours from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Where will you work?
At our Kerry site in Padiham, we develop, manufacture, and supply a variety of infused oils and fats, such as chili and garlic oils. As part of a small yet dedicated team, we are proud to be a part of a global leader in the taste and nutrition industry.
Responsibilities
* Perform production and maintenance tasks related to plant setup, change, and shutdown to meet product specifications and minimize downtime.
* Assist with shift administration, including maintaining daily production records.
* Report any issues on the site to a line manager.
* Replenish stocks, such as raw materials, labels, and packaging, to ensure continuous production.
* Monitor and adjust plant settings according to work instructions.
* Conduct production processes in line with quality control and HACCP requirements, including visual inspections and sampling.
* Complete paperwork and input data into the company system.
* Follow due-diligence tasks as specified by product requirements (e.g., CCPs, temperature control, weight sampling).
* Maintain cleanliness through Clean As You Go and Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Ensure plant and equipment remain contamination-free and report issues.
* Adhere to BRC Quality Standards, HACCP procedures, and Safe Operating Practices.
* Report safety concerns promptly to the line manager.
Qualifications and Skills
* Good numeracy and communication skills.
* Computer literate – MS Excel, Word; experience with SAP is a plus.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Cooperative with other teams.
* Ability to follow health and safety standards and raise issues when needed.
* Honest and proactive attitude.
* Previous food manufacturing experience is desirable.
* Forklift experience is beneficial.
