We are recruiting SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEN, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Somerset / Bristol. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists, with a focus on 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Work with learners referred by local authorities and schools, providing educational and social-emotional support
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions that meet individual needs and support overall development
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (support to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK residence and right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Engage with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
