A top 50 accountancy practice is looking for an enthusiastic Audit Assistant to become part of its Corporate Audit and Advisory team. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of clients across multiple industries and provides a supportive environment that encourages learning and career progression. You will work closely with senior colleagues to deliver high-quality audit services while contributing to the development and success of the team.
Role Responsibilities
* Perform audit work on financial statement areas to a high standard with guidance from senior staff.
* Assist with preparation of individual and consolidated financial statements, mainly under UK GAAP.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and their teams.
* Identify opportunities to provide additional services where appropriate.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and firm standards.
* Monitor deadlines, manage workload effectively, and understand the commercial implications of work completed.
* Set and track job budgets with oversight from senior team members.
* Attend training to develop both technical expertise and personal skills.
* Provide constructive feedback to junior colleagues to support their growth.
* Adhere to risk management procedures and contribute to the overall success of the department.
Personal Requirements
* Part-qualified ACA or ACCA AAT Level 4 also considered if relevant.
* Experience working with external clients and assisting in financial statement preparation.
* Auditing experience across a variety of sectors, including commercial and not-for-profit.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, accounting software, and digital communication tools.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* High level of confidentiality and professional integrity.
* Proactive, solution-focused mindset with a commitment to outstanding client service.
* Willingness to travel to other offices within East Anglia when required.
