A lovely new role working for a global household business that owns a large number of brands we all love and use daily. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend categories such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies, oversee delivery, and monitor performance, including achieving annualized savings
* Develop group-wide category plans to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers to support local offices
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to secure buy-in using strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and feedback
* Exemplify company values and promote procurement excellence through strong relationships
* Deliver strategic projects and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally in a global business
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers of significant value
* Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across diverse cultures and countries
* Adaptability in fast-paced, changing environments
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
